本州、九州及び伊豆諸島（八丈島）から得られている。クスノキやヤブニッケイなどのクスノキ科の樹木の葉に生息する。

This species is found in Honshu, Kyushu, and the Izu Islands (Hachijo Island). It inhabits the leaves of camphor trees [Lauraceae], such as Cinnamomum camphora and C. yabunikkei.
